OtherFive of Clann Eireann's top handballers travelled the long road to Castlebar, Co Mayo last weekend to take part in the GAA Handball National One Wall competition held in the Breaffy House Hotel & Sports Resort. With a list of 255 competitiors in the various grades, this was the biggest ever all Ireland one wall competition - and promised to be the most competitive.
CLANN EIREANN HANDBALL ONE WALL INVITATIONAL TOURNAMENT As part of North Armagh Gaelic Week Clann Eireann Handball Club will be hosting an invitational tournament on the newly renovated one wall courts in Lake Street on Saturday 20th June at 10am. The tournament will showcase some of the best players in Ulster and the standard of play will be top class with players eager for match practice ahead of the Irish National One-Wall Championships to be held in Catslebar, Mayo the following weekend.

La na gClub celebrated in glorious sunshine Maghery Sean McDermott’s commemorated the founding of the GAA 125 years ago, in grand fashion on Sunday May 10th 2009. Under clear blue skies and drenched in sunshine, this gaelic footballing community on the shores of Lough Neagh came together to celebrate and enjoy a most memorable and proud milestone. Proceedings began with a special Mass at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, Maghery. All football teams and those affiliated to the club turned out in our vibrant club colours, filling the chapel with an array of bright blue and yellow.
